Yuvajana Sakhyam, or the Youth Fellowship, is an integral part of the Malankara Mar Thoma Syrian Church, established in 1933 during the Maramon Convention. Its purpose is to unite young members of the Mar Thoma faith globally. This organization has expanded its reach to every corner of the world, providing a platform for the youth of the Mar Thoma church to come together. It is renowned for nurturing the talents and potential of young individuals. Over its extensive history, it has groomed numerous outstanding personalities within the church and in wider society.

The primary aim of Yuvajana Sakhyam is to guide the youth in acknowledging Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. It encourages them to center their lives around worship and Christian fellowship, and to actively participate in the church’s mission. Moreover, it instills a strong belief in Christian values and principles. The organization facilitates various activities such as camps, meetings, and discussions, aimed at enriching the youth’s understanding of the Holy Bible and the traditions of the church.

At St. Stephen’s MTC, Yuvajana Sakhyam gatherings take place on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of each month. These gatherings serve as opportunities for fellowship and spiritual growth for the youth within the church community. Through such engagements, young members are encouraged to embody the teachings of the Bible and serve as positive examples to others, echoing the sentiment expressed in 1 Timothy 4:12: “Do not let anyone treat you as if you are unimportant because you are young. Instead, be an example to the believers with your words, your actions, your love, your faith, and your pure life.”
