"Do not let anyone treat you as if you are unimportant because you are young"
— 1 Timothy 4:12
Yuvajana Sakhyam, or the Youth Fellowship, is an integral part of the Malankara Mar Thoma Syrian Church, established in 1933 during the historic Maramon Convention. Its purpose is to unite young members of the Mar Thoma faith globally — and its reach has since expanded to every corner of the world.
The primary aim of Yuvajana Sakhyam is to guide the youth in acknowledging Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour — encouraging them to centre their lives around worship, Christian fellowship, and active participation in the church's mission.
The organisation facilitates camps, meetings, and discussions — enriching youth understanding of the Holy Bible and the treasured traditions of the Mar Thoma Church.
Every gathering, camp and discussion is designed to draw young people deeper into their faith and calling.
Everything we do flows from acknowledging Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour — the foundation on which every young life is built and every activity is anchored.
Yuvajana Sakhyam is a family — a place where young people belong, are known, and are built up together in love, accountability, and shared purpose.
Through Bible studies, discussions and retreats, youth are equipped with a deep understanding of the Holy Scriptures and the rich heritage of the Mar Thoma Church.
Youth are encouraged to develop a vibrant personal prayer life and to participate wholeheartedly in the corporate worship of the parish community.
Annual camps and retreats create space for focused discipleship, spiritual renewal, and lifelong friendships forged away from the distractions of daily life.
Rooted in the Mar Thoma ethos of service, youth are called to actively participate in the church's mission — locally in Delhi and globally across the fellowship.
Yuvajana Sakhyam gatherings at St. Stephen's are open to all youth of the parish. Come as you are — leave strengthened in faith, friendship, and purpose.
Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity.— 1 Timothy 4:12
