"Gray hair is the crown of glory; it is gained in a righteous life"
— Proverbs 16:31
The Senior Citizens Fellowship at St. Stephen's MTC is an exclusive and cherished gathering for individuals aged 60 and above — established to provide a warm, supportive community for retired members of our church, where they can come together, share their life stories, and enjoy one another's company.
We deeply recognise the invaluable contribution that senior citizens make to our church community. Their wealth of experience, depth of faith, and gentle wisdom greatly enriches every gathering and the entire life of the parish.
The primary aim of this fellowship is to foster a sense of belonging and companionship among seniors, while also providing meaningful opportunities to remain engaged in worship, prayer, and church activities.
Every gathering is designed to honour, encourage, and uplift the seniors who have faithfully served God and this parish community.
Scripture calls us to honour those with grey hair. This fellowship is a living expression of that calling — celebrating the lives, faith, and legacy of our senior members.
A space where seniors are truly known and valued — sharing stories, laughter, and faith with peers who understand the journey and the grace that has carried them through.
Gatherings are anchored in prayer and worship, giving senior members continued opportunities to offer their rich prayer heritage to God and to one another.
Bible study and devotional sharing form the spiritual core of each meeting — drawing on decades of lived faith to open the Word with depth and testimony.
The fellowship keeps an attentive eye on the physical and emotional wellbeing of its members — ensuring no senior feels isolated or overlooked within our parish family.
The wisdom and experience of our senior members is a priceless gift to the church. We actively create spaces for this legacy to be shared, celebrated, and passed on.
Even to your old age and gray hairs I am he, I am he who will sustain you. I have made you and I will carry you; I will sustain you and I will rescue you.— Isaiah 46:4
All senior members of the parish aged 60 and above are warmly welcomed to join this fellowship — a community where every season of life is celebrated and every person is cherished.
